I don’t believe in favorites and I’ll certainly never be qualified to tell you mine but if i had to maybe it was the time a punk girl pink hair working in a used bookstore told me my punk dad gave me punk adjacent status, or maybe my fifth birthday, could have been my sixth, when the old guys at the bar my dad and i would walk to in the afternoon gave me a beautifully illustrated peter rabbit counting board game.
