he always held my hand as we walked through the bookstore and answered every question babbled his way. he always knew the perfect thing to pick out too. he says its because he chooses gifts he think that people will enjoy at the right time, like an art kit that’ll get put away until your little cousins come to visit, or a book illustrated by your favorite author tucked away until you aged past the target audience and loved it even more. i always thought it was because he just wanted us to like what he liked.
