I’m not a neuroscientist. But I do periodically hyper focus on scientific research articles about genes, the brain, neurons.

I have a theory.

Neuroscientists aren’t really sure about gray matter in the brain. Studies have shown, however, that people with ADHD (probably others, but my hyper focus is on things that interest me, me-centric, how wonderful, that’s for another day) have a reduced amount of gray matter in the brain. Pardon me for not remembering all the specifics of a long-ago researched interest, but ADHD seems to be an influx of neurons with an added bonus of dopamine-searching to supplement the lack.

I think gray matter is where neurons are supposed to die. Ours don’t. So our brain lets them run amuck, amidst, between and throughout.

Maybe I’ll plot out a new gray matter cemetery some day.
